Windows 64Bit is supported.
Since XLplus uses the Windows API, XLplus cannot be used on a different Operating System than MS Windows.
The XLplus Add-On ´Color Management´ relies on the Internet Explorer Ver. 4.0 or higher.
Note: Add-On ´Color Management´ is no longer supported on MS EXCEL 2007 or higher. Using MS EXCEL build-in functionality is more efficient.
MS Excel Version
Required Version:
XLplus Ver.: 2.X: MS Excel 2000 (Ver. Number: 9.X) or higher.
XLplus Ver.: 3.X: MS Excel 2007 (Ver. Number: 12.X) or higher.
MS Excel 2010 64bit is not supported.

Macro Security
You have to allow Macros to be run. If you disallow XLplus to be run you cannot use its features and additionally you will not be able to install any of its Add-Ons. You can get informed about this requirement and how to configure it within section macro security.
MS Common Controls:
XLplus uses the MS Common Controls. It is recommended to use the latest version of these tools. If you are using MS Excel 2000 - 2003 you should update these tools. You can find this most up-to-date version on the Microsoft pages. Visit http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyId=25437D98-51D0-41C1-BB14-64662F5F62FE&displaylang=en in order to download the newest version of the MS Common Controls.
Note: You do not necessarilly have to download and install these Common Control Versions if you are using MS Excel 2007 or higher - these MS Excel Versions ship with a version which is suitable for XLplus.
Details
The MS Common Controls offer general purpose controls like ListView, TreeView, ProgressBar or ImageList. The latest version of these controls fixes several bugs, i.e. proper refreshing of the listview control or correct display and handling of the treeview control.
The controls exist in two versions: MS Common Controls 5 and 6. It consists of the OCX file (Active-X Control): Mscomctl.ocx (Ver.: 6) or Comctl32.ocx (Ver.: 5). XLplus uses MS Common Controls 6, only. The file is located within the System32 folder of your Windows system (Note: Using Windows 64bit the folder is SysWOW64).
You can check the version of the control using the Windows Explorer and checking the file properties. The Version of the downloaded controls is 6.1.97.86.
In case you experience any display problems of listviews or treeviews using MS Excel 2007+, installing these newest versions might be helpfull, too.
