Excel Versions:
XLplus is a tools collection for Microsoft EXCEL which helps to do your daily work faster and more efficient.
XLplus is available in different versions.
XLplus Ver.: 2.50 has been designed for MS EXCEL 2000 and is best used until MS EXCEL 2003.
XLplus Ver.: 3.X has been designed for MS EXCEL 2007 and is compatible with MS EXCEL 2010, too.
XLplus Ver.: 2.50 for MS Excel 2000 or higher
XLplus Ver.: 2.50 can be used with MS EXCEL 2007 or higher with no problems. Nevertheless it is recommended using XLplus Ver.: 3.X with MS EXCEL 2007 or higher since this version of XLplus supports Ribbons and the new spreadsheet dimensions of MS EXCEL. XLplus Ver.: 2.50 instead will include itself into the Add-Ins option of the Ribbon and therefore is less comfortable to use (anyhow, it supports the new spreadsheet dimensions as well).
XLplus Ver.: 2.50 received its last feature update and bug-fixes and will not be continued.
XLplus Ver.: 3.X for MS Excel 2007 or higher
XLplus Ver.: 3.X is the newest version and will be continued and extended regularly.
XLplus Ver.: 3.X changed the way, Add-Ons are handled. Therefore you will not be able installing old Add-Ons into XLplus Ver.: 3.X. Please download the new versions and install these, instead. All Keys are still valid.
The new way handling Add-Ons offers the option to include your own macros into the User Interface of XLplus Ver.: 3.X. Please see XLplus Using my macros with XLplus for details.

Note: MS Office 2010 is available as 64Bit Version, too. MS Office 2010 64Bit is not supported by XLplus in general.
| Reason: |
MS Office 2010 requires adjusting all Windows API calls to 64Bit - which is a small problem and easily done. Since XLplus heavily uses the Windows API this is a required task for porting it to 64Bit. Additionally, XLplus heavily relies on the MS Common Controls, which are no longer provided by MS Office 2010 64Bit. This, indeed, is a big problem as it requires creating such functionality our own instead of Microsoft (who could do this easily, since having all the sources, instead of us). So far it is not clear, if and when these "Common Controls" will be available in 64Bit. Therefore XLplus is limited to 32Bit for the moment. |

For a successfull usage XLplus requires MS Excel Version 2000 (Versions Number: 9.X) as a minimum. This applies to XLplus Ver. 2.50.
XLplus Ver. 3.X requires MS EXCEL 2007 or higher and cannot be used with earlier versions of MS Excel.
