XLplus Add-On: Worksheet Protection
This Add-On supports you to easily protect sheets of a workbook or to remove existing protections.
Protect
Select Protect in order to protect the selected Worksheets. Next, enter the Password which shall be used to protect the sheets with. Leave this field blank, in order to protect the sheets without a password. This weak protection is usefull in cases prevention of unauthorised access to the data is not that important. Now enter the Password in field Confirmation again. In case both passwords are different, you have to enter them again.
Unprotect
Select Unprotect in order to unprotect the selected Worksheets. Afterwards enter the password, which shall be used to unprotect the sheets.
Workbook and Worksheets
By default, the active Workbook and Sheet is selected. You can change the Workbook to work with. Additionally you can specify all or just some sheets to protect or unprotect. Use the [Ctrl] key or [Shift] key in combination with the mouse in order to select multiple entries.
Note: On some keyboards the [Ctrl] key might be labeled [Strg].
Informations and Warnings
In case a worksheet is already protected, the tool will not be able to overwrite this protection with a new password. All of the related sheets will be listed. You have to remove protection first, before you can assign a new protection to these sheets. In case you want to remove protection but are using the wrong password, the tool will display a list of all sheets which cannot be amended.
