XLplus Add-On: Manage Hidden Cells

Whereas Excel limits you to unhide cells one after another, you can use Manage Hidden Cells to conveniently unhide any number of cells of a given worksheet.

Select the workbook to unhide cells from. Next specify the sheet to unhide cells from. Double-Click a sheet in the list to retrieve all hidden cells from it. The tool now will read all columns and all rows which are hidden and display them in the lists provided. Upon reading a progress indicator informs you how many cells are read. Depending on your PC this might take some seconds.

You will receive a complete list of all:

• columns (up to 256)
• rows (up to 65536)

which are hidden.

To get informed about the surrounding cells of a hidden cell double-click an list entry either within the list of hidden columns or rows. The vertex of row and column selected will be selected on the worksheet. You now can get informed about the cells around the selected one and decide whether to unhide cells or not.

Finally select all rows and columns to show. Use [Ctrl] to select non-contigeous list entries, use [Shift] to select contigeous entries. Use Unhide Columns to display all hidden columns, use Unhide Rows to display all rows. Use Unhide All to disply all hidden cells.

Note: Unhiding a lot of rows will take a while. In case the amount of rows to unhide exceeds 10000 rows you might want to prefer using Unhide All and lateron hide rows or columns again.

The dialog remains open as long as you require it. Choose Cancel to close it once your work is done.

Versions:

Ver.: 2.0.22 and Ver.: 3.0.22 correct a bug where the progress indicator could run into an error because a division by zero could happen under certain circumstances.
