Highligthing Comments allows to identify comments of interest in a bunch of comments. Additionally, you can use this tool to highlight specific Words within comments. These words could be Authors or any kind of text.

|

Use a left click with your mouse in order to assign the desired color immediately. You have a total of 5 seconds for picking a color. After this time elapsed, the color under the mouse cursor will be assigned.
The current color under a moving mouse cursor will be shown immediately.
Elapsed time will be shown with a progress bar. |
Use button Default in order to get back the default color of comments.
Font:
Choose Font to apply settings to All Text, Author or specific Words of your comments.
When applying to All Text your entire comment gets the specified settings. In case no settings were specified the entire content will be formatted using plain text. Alternatively specify Bold, Italic and / or the Color of the font.
You can apply identical font settings to all Authors of your comments.
Details:
When changing Authors the Wizard will identify all comments to work with by the Author property of a comment. There might exist comments which show a different Author Name than defined within the property, i.e. because it was replaced previously. In this case no changes will be applied (provided the Author Name of the property does not exist within the comments text at another position). You can use option Words in order to change these Authors.
Using Words you can style single words. Alternatively you can specify that all text before or after a specified Word shall be formatted.
When applying styles to Words you can specify that a lookup has to recognize the exact writing (Case Sensitive). By default every occurance of a Word will be styled, regardless of its writing.
Delimit single Words by a comma. Use one empty character at the end of a word to format exactly this word but not similar words.
Example:
Your comments text is: "This is a Comment amongst other Comments."
Specify to format the following words: Comment , amongst, other. This will format the words Comment, amongst and other but not the word Comments.
When applying styles before or after Words you can specify that after a first Word was found all styling stops. This is recommended since otherwise applied settings might overlap.
When specifying a Color MS Excel 2000 - 2007 just allow colors from the ColorIndex Table of the actual workbook.
Using MS Excel 2010+ you can select any color you like, instead.
Size:
Using Size you can blow up Comments of interest so they are visible even on a worksheet which was minimized to 25%. Additionally, you can automatically adjust comments to their perfect size.
Tip: You can use Find Comments to easily identify all comments of interest. Use Rework Comments to change a comments content and Shape Comments to assign a new shape to comments.
