XLplus Add-On: Copy SubTotals
This XLplus Add-On supports you copying SubTotals from a range of cells. You can rework them later.
Example: You have a list of musicians and their songs. You create an overview how often a single musician is listed. These values are of interest for further rework.
Use this tool to do so. You can copy all SubTotals into another workbook or into a new location within the current workbook.
The tool automatically selects the first filled cell of the active worksheet and suggests to paste all SubTotals below the data of the active worksheet.
Select a cell within the range of data to copy SubTotals from:
Determine a cell within the range of your SubTotals. By default, the first filled cell of the active sheet is suggested. You can determine any other cell and, if required, any cell of different sheet. To do so, choose worksheet and cell using the first RefEdit Control Element.
In case you specify an empty worksheet or in case it does not contain any SubTotals, a warning is given.
Select the workbook, to paste data in:
Choose one of the open workbooks. By default, the active workbook is selected.
Select the cell to paste data in:
Determine a cell, from which on all SubTotals are pasted. By default, a cell 5 rows below the last filled row of the active worksheet is suggested. In case you select another workbook, the selection is adjusted to the last cell of this workbook. To select another worksheet, use the corresponding RefEdit Control Element.
Versions:
Ver. 2.0.18 and Ver. 3.0.18: Completely changed the way the tool determines subtotals to copy. The tool now identifies all cells of interest by the function used (which is the Subtotal formula). Previous versions used an erreneous method to identify those cells and therefore sometimes could not find and copy them. Thanks a lot Frauke, for telling me.
